PART International Art Residency Austria is designed to foster artistic experimentation and meaningful exchange. Through dedicated curatorial support, mentorship opportunities, public engagement, and interdisciplinary dialogue, we provide an environment where ideas can grow organically.
Our residency is for artists, curators, and scholars who want to think beyond disciplines, connect with the Austrian art scene, and contribute to a vibrant, collaborative community.
Artists, curators, and theorists from around the world are invited to deepen their engagement with the social, political and ecological questions of our time. To be PART of means to open up and get involved – with others, with contexts, with oneself.
PART presents its programme in three vibrant spaces: the multifunctional space THE HALL, the BAR DES AMATEURS, and the PORTICO. They function as places of production, presentation, and exchange, closely linked to the residency programme and to the artistic and curatorial practices of our residents in connection with the national scene. THE HALL serves as a flexible venue for exhibitions, performances, workshops and collaborative formats – a public venue that, during closed times, becomes a protected space for experimentation and new forms of collaboration.

PART is located in the historic Pavillons des Amateurs, more specifically in the Southern Pavilion in Vienna’s Prater Park, which was originally built for the World’s Fair of 1873. The surrounding landscape, with its centuries-old trees and protected green space, provides a tranquil yet inspiring environment for research, reflection, and creation. Its proximity to Vienna’s vibrant cultural scene ensures dynamic interactionsbetween residents and the local artistic community.
